The Sunshine Service by ELVES CIC is dedicated to supporting individuals who live alone and may be at risk of isolation, loneliness, or related mental health challenges. Through regular, friendly phone calls, we provide a consistent and compassionate presence, helping to ease anxiety, encourage emotional well-being, and remind people that they are never truly alone.
We are piloting a unique approach to this service in partnership with Linking Lives UK, focusing on tacking social isolation specifically within Dumfries & Galloway.
We are taking expressions of interest for:
- Individuals who live alone and feel isolated or lonely
- People who would benefit from regular, friendly social contact
- Someone who is interested in engaging with conversations by phone
